Last weekend we went to Bruges.
It's this magical, quaint city in Belgium, very French with its chocolateries, patisseries and Christmas shops.
However, the residents speak Flemish, which is really similar to Dutch. Everywhere you go you see statues, monuments, beautiful architecture and lace. lots and lots of lace. It's a super romantic city, very famous for its mussels and wonderful chocolates. We took these photos before going to dinner one evening. It was quite cold so I chose these cold colors, but the light behind me really warmed up the atmosphere...
The best part about living in Europe is definitely the fact that you can just "hop" over to another country for the weekend!
